We planned to head over to Fashion Show Mall at the north end of the strip. The Beautiful Girl didn't know what to expect, but she would soon find out.
After getting turned around a few times in the mall looking for Johnny Rockets Burgers to fill our stomachs, we finally found it. It was placed in the middle of the mall, but had the classic burger joint style to it. The waiters all had the little pointy hat, the counter had metal stools with red seats, and the all of the booths were like they were from the 60's. They even had a juke box that let you choose what music the diner would listen to. We filled up on a yummy burger and a club sandwich good ole fashion fries.
We enjoyed the mall and got turned around a few times, but we got to pick out all of the fun stuff we wanted to buy if we were rich or just happened to win tons of money at the casino while we were in town.
Buy this time it was about noon so we thought we would head to the south end of the strip to check out Mandalay Bay. This is where we would test our luck. After seeing what Mandalay Bat and Luxor had to offer we decided to see what money could be made. I was very reluctant to sit down at this point, only a week earlier I had tried my luck at the Blackjack tables in Wendover... I lost $70 that night. I'm obviously not a big gambler, but losing money still isn't something I like doing. So I took a seat at the lowly $10 minimum table. At that time, the Beautiful Girl took a few bucks and would go try and win on the slots. I was lucky enough to be sitting at a table full of good players that had lots of advice to offer. I bet small for the entire hour and a half that I was sitting there and went back and forth on the amount of money I was winning, but in the end luck was on my side and I went on a winning streak and was able to walk away with about $85. Not much, but we were out of time and I was ahead, no reason to test my luck any further.
I slowly made my way back over to the anxiously waiting Beautiful Girl. She looked at me wondering if I would be in a bad mood the rest of the day... I slowly let a smile come across my face and I held out the chips. I was so happy with my winnings that I pulled them out and just stared at them. Then I grabbed her hand and ran to the cashier (in the wrong direction I was so excited) to cash them out.
We had to hurry back to the room so we could change into our "night on the town" clothes. We took our time getting ready, we wanted to look good... I was quick and jumped into my sexy black pants, blue shirt and my black tie. I was ready to be the random guy on the arm of the girl everyone was staring at.
The Beautiful girl put on this amazing silver dress and black and white heels that everyone in Vegas was going crazy about. If they were all going crazy... imagine what I was thinking.
Now that we looked our best we were ready to go to one of the greatest shows in Vegas. Cirque De Soleil's "O" (We didn't have time for dinner, we spent too much time getting ready). The Show was amazing, it was a breathtaking adventure certainly the biggest stage I have ever seen. We saw divers and dancers. And acrobatics that were by far the most jaw dropping stunts I have ever seen. We both gazed on in amazement at the entire performance and were amazed at what we had witnessed.
We only thought the night was going to get better... We didn't get dressed in our best just for the show, we were planning on partying Vegas style in one of the strips nightclubs. We debated back and forth of whether we should make our memories at the "Tao" or at "The Bank". We walked down to The Venetian to check out the "Tao", but it was packed, with long lines and tons of people trying to get in. So we put of going in for a few minutes by getting some Gelato and enjoying it on a bench setting of a small town in Italy. I thought it was great.... I don't know what she thought of it...
Turns out the "Tao" is always busy and we thought we would have better luck back up at the Bellagio. Unfortunately we were wrong, the entrance had line ropes all around it with big bouncers everywhere. It seemed like we stood in by the ropes trying to get the bouncers attention forever ( I never understood why, I was with an amazing beautiful girl). When he finally came over and asked how he could help us, we said we wanna get in, his only response... "help me out and I help you out" and walked away. Feeling as if I had no choice, I pulled out my wallet and guessed at what his price might be. Once I had some cash in my hands the bouncers were willing to give me a little more attention, he was back asking how he could help us a few minutes later...
I showed him the cash and he yelled "favor" as he opened the ropes. Not knowing how I felt about the system I had just participated in, I knew that as we made our way through the giant double doors and up the escalators we had been hoping to go up for the last 45 minutes, I did know I was going to have the best time with this girl by my side.Inside the club it was packed. The loud music made it impossible to talk to each other and the dance floor was shoulder to shoulder, which wasn't too bad if you had a cute girl to dance with ;). But after almost two hours the shoes that every Vegas girl was envying were killing the Beautiful Girl, not to mention how exhausted we were from everything we had done that day.
We slowly made our way back to the room, I even had to carry her a few times because of all the pain she was feeling. It made me feel like a gentleman and she got to rest her feet, so I think it was a win-win situation.
Wasn't long til we were back in the most comfortable bed in the world thinking back on the fun we had that day in Vegas.
It wasn't long til we fell asleep, my only concern was that it was 3 am and we had so much more to accomplish when the sun came up, I hope we would be ready for it.
As I fell asleep I laid there thinking about how amazing the day had been and how we had living Vegas for everything it is known for.... Winning at the tables, enjoying a good show, and party rocking in the Bellagio nightclub. We could honestly say, we had lived the Vegas experience.
